Activate Text View Mode
The "Activate Text View Mode" command can be used to enable the text view mode in either panel with specific options. See Text view mode for detailed information.The behavior of this command can be modified by the following options:
- Use current panel instead of other side
By default, the mode is activated on the inactive panel as it is the most useful operation in most cases. This option allows to change this behavior. - Get content from
active file/command output/file type action.- Command: configures the external command to execute. Uses regular Own command flags to access the actual file names, etc.
- File type action: This defines the custom file type action that is used to determine the command list to execute and potentially showing the output in the text view mode. The "A" buttons allows to select from the list of defined file type actions for any file type.
- Follow active entry
The text view mode re-execute the configured command whenever another entry is made active. - Watch file
Tthe text view mode watches for file changes for the first used file in the command arguments and re-execute the command on file changes.
